Dear Alli,
Today, I believe, is the night that will ever be the night when my head was so spun round, I never thought it would face forwards once again. Such wild things tend to happen in these lands, which lead to my utter confusion. The night was productive, I will at least give it that. I cleaned, very thoroughly cleaned half of the bar area, this including the cupboards (inside and out), all of the bottles of various liquors we serve, the bartop, and the floors. It was quite a site to see, especially compared to the unclear, dust-covered other half of the bar.
All those things that I wrote yesterday abour Brier? About how she can be very timid about things and not a big drinker? Well...she proved that all false tonight, well, her body did at least.
Oh! But I should do the good news first! I opened up the Recruit Tavern tonight and had a young maiden show an interest in joining up with the guild. It was so exciting! I can't rightly pronounce her first name, so she asked me to just call her Rose. A lovely name she had, and one I recall it all perfectly, I shall write it down so I can always remember it. A terribly past it seems she is hoping to leave behind her. The rest of her family was killed by marauders during a caravan ride. She barely escaped with her life and has been with other family since then. But choosing to start on her own path, she joined up with EGoV.
But soon after she came in, Brier strutted in, and I really do mean strutted! It was unbelievable! One day she tells me she is too shy to wear an outfit that shows off part of her skin, and tonight she waltzes in waering something that hardly covered up her skin! And she did not improve at all from there. She was drinking down bottles of whiskey like it was water, lounging on the couch like she'd never been taught how to sit properly, and even snapped at me and treated me like a common servant when I told her to find her next bottle elsewhere. Granted, also meant that I threw the pair of ballet shoes I had with me (just in case) into the trash can, pretty sure those lessons were not about to happen any time soon.
Then Alenia and Zewey came in, and that really didn't seem to help any at all. Zewey was insistant about knowing everything that went on, like he was some royal king or something and should be obeyed without question. Brier was...well, quite fresh with him. She asked him a number of times to come keep her warm in her bed, which obviously she meant keep her warm and all the other bedroom activities that go with it. And then Alenia had to get into it with Brier as well, attempting to use logic with the woman and telling her that being ignored was a part of life and she shouldn't be selfish and blah blah blah. Honestly, I really doubt Alenia cares at all about Brier's well-being as anyone who knows Brier could tell that something was obviously amiss and this was not the Brier we all held dear.
But then a man entered in, taller, very sure of himself as he entered. He actually went to Brier, touching her only one, causing her to collapse into his arms. After her touched her though, she returned much to herself, being timid, and glowing bright red in her cheeks when we told her of her actions just before, particularly those between herself and Zewey. But she has promised us cookies and muffins, so we all have something to greatly look forward to.
I also found out that the man who came and "saved" Brier tonight was none other than her brother, Etienne. It was actually very nice to have finally met him and put his face wtih a name. But now that this night is over, I am ready for much needed sleep.
